On Sunday I went for a ride in an Atom sports car ?
The ride itself was out of this fucking World – I think i now know what it would be like to ride on an actual atom ?
I’m pretty buzzing still so to ride in a 500kg car with a race tuned 2 litre Honda Type R engine – for you petrol geeks – that’s 550bhp per ton – so pretty raunchy when you drop the hammer.
In real terms that’s 0-60 in less than 3 seconds – holy shit it was fast.
We were coming out of our town and he booted it to overtake someone and I was like – SHIT DUDE.
I thought that was so fast.
Then….
We turned into the road behind the airport and he said you ok – you want to go really fast.
i gave him the thumbs up
He then absolutely nailed it.
OMFG – I’ve never felt power like that before – it felt like how I imagine a ride in a rocket to feel. The power was absolutely brutal, but still felt really under control and safe. It was amazing.
The thing is – I was already feeling excited just to be alive – so this was crazy exhilarating – mind blowing.

As we slowed down, turned around and drove back into Town – I was left with an incredible feeling and a really important message in my mind.
Life is about fully experiencing things.
The amount of times I’ve been to events like that and not ridden in the car.
I’ve looked at them, I’ve spoken to the owners, I’ve bought books on them, I’ve watched programs on them – but I’ve never actually physically experienced being in one – let alone driving or owning one.
I now realise that this was a metaphor for my life.
I now realise that I get to fully experience life – not just talk about it and imagine it.
I also realise that I get to create more experiences and special moments.
I get to create an amazing life.
