Don’t just fly – SOAR

So this couple of weeks has brought some powerful learnings and has lead to some really powerful action being taken

Its funny how these things get started

My friend Sue wrote a post asking peeps to share their fave disney quote

Now – I didn’t have one but my fave cartoon when I was a kid was dumbo – so I type dumbo quotes and this one popped up

DON’T JUST FLY – SOAR

This got me to thinking……

Flying takes soooo much effort – where as to soar is effortless

When you think about anything that is trying to escape earths gravity – it’s hard work

When a plane is taking off it has it’s engines on 100% – compared to around 60-80% when cruising. Apparently, when on a short flight, the plane can use up to 25% of it’s whole fuel load on taking off.

ps. Marta – that 80% was an old wives tale – lol xx

The same goes for birds – flapping their wings is so inefficient, so they spend most of the time gliding and soaring

Then I got to thinking about how some of us show up in life

I know my self – I’ve had periods where I’m doing really well, then next thing I know, I’m back on the floor, struggling and finding life hard

Then I have to use lots of energy picking myself up and getting airborne again

Then just to come crashing down again

And repeat……

Now – it hasn’t been like that for ages, but just lately it’s felt a little bit like I took a dive again

The things is – as I explained a while ago – that was just growing pains

That was ok – but to me it appeared like I’d come down again

So what I realised is that we get to soar rather than trying to fly – as that takes so much energy – then we wonder why we get exhausted

So then I looked into what has me soaring, what kind of things keep me up there

There are a few things

* Certain songs
* Self empowering videos
* Consciousness talks
* Visualising
* Re-living old amazing times
* Walking in nature
* Coaching
* Deep connections with like minded souls

So what I’ve started doing over the last 2 weeks is using a combination of those things to keep my vibes up so I stay up and can ride the thermals like an eagle instead of flapping around like a turkey and getting nowhere

This seemingly small shift has completely changed everything and had me showing up much more consistently

And that consistency has already lead to some cook stuff happening next year

What kind of things can you do to keep your vibes up?
